Beitou Plum Garden

Plum Garden (梅庭)is the ancient summer residence of famed calligrapher and former political leader Yu You-ren.  Built in the 1930’s, the building recently opened to the public in 2010, and is a fine exhibit of traditional Japanese wood framed architecture.  The residence also houses a number of Yu You-ren’s calligraphy works.  Visitors may choose to  sit down and relax in the quiet house or stroll through the beautifully manicured garden.
