The relatively limited supply of authentic Indian restaurants in Taipei can be a hard adjustment to make for some expats who are used being able to find good Indian food at every turn in other major cities around the world.  Thankfully, Indian entrepreneur Mr. Kant stepped in to fill this void in early 2013 by opening Balle Balle Indian Restaurant & Bar in Songshan District of Taipei City.

Balle Balle offers a wide range of tasty Punjabi Indian cuisine such as tandoori snacks, spicy samosas, and a long list of both vegetarian and non vegetarian curries.  You also know you are getting the most authentic and finest Indian food in the city as the ingredients come from Mr. Kant’s other business venture, Taipei’s premier Indian specialty store, which supplies the Indian restaurants and families in the city.

The restaurant is open daily from 11am to 10pm and is managed by one of Mr. Kant’s longest serving employees from the specialty store, Mr. GV.   The friendly manager speaks both English and Chinese, and is always eager to explain the menu and offer suggestions about what to order.
